ALBANY -- A Dublin, Georgia, man who allegedly came to Albany to have sex with an underage girl is under arrest.
39-year-old Kenneth Pearson faces one count of obscene internet contact with a child. Dougherty County police investigators say Pearson thought he would be meeting a 13-year-old girl at a local convenience store Tuesday. He was met by police officers instead and taken into custody.
The sting was part of the Dougherty County Police Department’s work with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The GBI seized Pearson’s computer from his Dublin home. Investigators say additional charges could follow.
