ALBANY, GA -- Business is blossoming in Downtown Albany – three new shops are planting their seeds in the developing area.

Inside Verge, located on Washington Street, will be Organic Charms and Bella Donna Handbags: Both owned by Albany State students.

Organic Charms offers “eco-chic” jewelry made with natural products, owned by Dee and Melvin Harris from Albany State.

Bella Donna Handbags are hand-designed with unique buttons and trinkets. The one-of-a-kind purses are made by Sonique O’Neal, Marketing major at Albany State University.

At 111 South Jackson – across the street from Jackson Street Antiques – will be Global Essence. The store is owned by Albany Tech GOAL Winner Patrick Jenkins.
