Doublegate Tournament to benefit Alzheimers
ALBANY, GA. -- Some local golfers took a swing at Alzheimers today.
Over 100 participants teed off in the ‘Forget Me Not’ Golf Tournament and silent auction at Doublegate Country Club.
PGA player Sonny Skinner recently lost his father to the disease.
"There are several hundred thousand people just in Georgia alone and I just represent one of those families that has been affected by Alzheimers," said Skinner.
All proceeds go to benefit the Southwest Geogia Alzheimer’s Association.
