ALBANY, GA -- Famous zoologist and former host of the TV show 'Wild Kingdom', Jim Fowler and family were hosts to the second annual "Sip and Safari" event to benefit Chehaw Park.

The fundraiser was held at Fowler Farm and treated guests to cocktails, a silent auction, dinner, dancing--and a one-of-a-kind look at nature up close.

Director of Chehaw Park, Doug Porter says this event is about more than just raising money.

“And really, as much as raising money, it's raising awareness, because all the people that came, they paid a significant amount of money to come out here and participate and those are the folks we want to know what Chehaw is and what an important asset it is to the community,” Said Porter.

This is the second year the 'Sip and Safari' has been hosted by the Fowler family.
