Victim still in hospital

ALBANY, GA. -- A bicyclist got an unpleasant surprise in downtown Albany today.

67-year-old Ulysses Archer was riding his bike on Broad Avenue when he was struck by a pickup truck.

The driver of the truck was identified as 21-year-old Jose Lage from Oregon.

Lage was making a left onto Broad from South Jefferson when he hit Lage.

Lage is in Phoebe Putney Hospital in “good” condition.

Albany police did not cite either man for the incident.
