Hospital holds free heart event at Albany Mall
ALBANY, GA. -- Phoebe Putney Hospital was at the Albany Mall today to encourage those last minute shoppers to ‘Love their Hearts’ as well as their sweethearts.
The free health event offered free blood pressure screenings at 12 stations throughout the mall.
Medical professionals were on hand to answer questions and provide information concerning cardiovascular health.
“Watch how you eat,” said Darrell Sabbs of Phoebe Putney. “Be sure you eat proper fruits and vegetables. Watch how you are inactive – be more active. Make sure that you don’t smoke.”
High blood pressure is especially dangerous because it often has no obvious symptoms.
