A lot of pawn shops got getting a lot of customers Monday
ALBANY, GA -- A lot of pawn shops got getting a lot of customers Monday. Several were closed over the past week for the holidays.
Owners say many people are coming back in looking to pay back loans.
“That's why you see a lot of people coming through. A lot of people that needed money for Christmas or things like that are coming in now and paying on that stuff,” said Jason Sheffield of Dawson Rd. Jewelry and Pawn.
Pawn shops did good business overall in 2010, as many people turned items looking for cash.
