ALBANY, GA -- A Baconton man died on New Year’s Eve from injuries he acquired in a two-car crash in early December.

Albany Police say John Ramsey, 85, was a passenger in the December 10th accident. They say he died at Phoebe Putney on Friday from multiple blunt force traumas to his body which was caused by the head on collision.

APD says his wife, Flora Ramsey, was driving the day of the accident; she was treated for her injuries and released.

According to the original police report from APD, William Davis, 66, of Albany failed to maintain his lane and crossed into oncoming traffic when he collided with Ramsey’s vehicle.

Police say charges are pending for Davis.
