Albany parks, Albany police join seniors

ALBANY, GA -- Some Albany grandparents were treated to a day of fun, food, and entertainment today courtesy of Albany Parks and Recreation and the Albany Gang Unit.

Seniors at Robert Cross Middle School celebrated Christmas with Grandparents Day with a solo from local singer Carla Hawkins.

Lieutenant Tony Moore taught the group how to recognize gang activity and how to protect themselves.

Law enforcement says the event gives them an opportunity to remind citizens that police officers are also a part of the community.
