Dougherty County Commissioners met for the last time this year and say they've made a lot of progress
ALBANY, GA. -- In 2010 Dougherty County Commissioners were able to balance the budget, pass SPLOST VI, begin construction of the new EMS headquarters building, and many other achievements.
Chairman Jeff Sinyard acknowledges next year will be tough, but says they're ready for the challenge. “We're going to keep working tirelessly and using what we can to make the folks that literally pay the taxes feel like they’re getting the most for their money” says Sinyard.
Commissioners say Dougherty County is actually in better financial shape than many other Georgia counties.
