ALBANY, GA -- Black Friday was a good Friday for many retailers in Southwest Georgia.

All told, more than 200 million Americans shopped on the day after Thanksgiving, spending about $45 billion dollars. That's up about $4 billion from last year.

Sears in the Albany Mall was especially busy. They say many people came in looking for electronics.

Many local stores also saw sales increases in jewelry, gift cards, toys, and books.
