ATLANTA (AP) -- A missing 12-year-old South Carolina girl has been found safe in Atlanta and a 26-year-old man has been arrested.

The State Law Enforcement Division canceled the Amber Alert early Friday for Julieta Yoselin of Clemson.

Multiple media outlets reported that Jesus Aldano Lozada was being held in the Fulton County jail awaiting an extradition hearing. Police in Clemson on Thursday obtained a warrant accusing Lozada of kidnapping.

Clemson police went to Atlanta to pick up the girl and reunite her with her family.

Clemson Police Chief Jimmy Dixon says no one had reported seeing the girl since she sneaked out of her home Monday night to meet Lozada. Dixon says the Amber Alert was issued Wednesday night when investigators determined Lozada gathered his belongings and the girl took nothing.
