ALBANY, GEORGIA -- Some high school students picked up a valuable life skill Tuesday.

About a dozen home school students took part in a CPR class.

The class was taught by Matthew Dickinson who has been teaching CPR as part of his Eagle Scout project. He says it’s an important skill for everybody.

“Often times, the emergency medical technicians and doctors aren't walking the streets every day, so it’s the regular average everyday citizen who is going to be the first person to see someone who needs CPR and it’s a great skill for everyone to have in case they have to use it,” said Dickinson.

All the equipment for the class was provided by the Albany YMCA.
