TIFTON, GA -- Six September fires in Tifton and Tift County have been turned over to state arson investigators.

State Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John Oxendine is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information on the recent fires. Investigators say the three main arson cases, the fire at Cooper Tire on South Main Street, a double vehicle and house fire on Sussex Drive, and a vehicle fire on Short Street, occurred in mid-September and are under investigation along with other arson fires.

Officials say these three arsons are believed to be connected, but no arrests have yet to be made. Anyone with information on these or any other arson fires should contact the State Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office at 800-282-5804.
