More than 200 cyclists participate in Nut Roll Century Bike Ride

ALBANY, GA -- Bikes filled Chehaw Park today as riders participated in the seventh annual Nut Roll Century Bike Ride. More than 200 cyclists took off bright and early at 8 a.m. at the park to enjoy the outdoors. Bikers chose from one of four routes. The shortest was 30 miles and those who wanted to brave the humidity chose the 102 mile course.

"I just enjoy riding my bike and it’s a great ride with friends. It promotes cycling in Southwest Georgia and it’s a good fundraiser for Chehaw," says cyclist Lindsey White who has participated in the Nut Roll Bike Ride for four years.

Money raised at the event goes toward Chehaw’s Education Department.
