First Sergeant Sarah Ray returned home on Friday

ALBANY, GA -- A local Marine is back home in Albany after a 6 month tour of duty in Afghanistan.

First Sergeant Sarah Ray was welcomed at Southwest Regional Airport by friends, family, and fellow Marines on Friday.

Ray had been in Afghanistan helping to train the Afghan Army.

She told FOX 31 she missed one thing above all.

"I worked with a lot of great soldiers, a lot of great navy personnel, a few airmen, but none of them compare to the Marines here in Albany," said Ray.

Ray also said she would return to Afghanistan in a minute if called.
