Officials are calling for an investigation into a leak of information from an executive session at a city commission meeting last week.

The Albany Journal reported the information the next day, citing speculation of a personnel matter with City Manager Al Lott.

City Commissioner Tommie Postell says people had phones out during the session.

“I’m very concerned about that and I think that could be the problem. I mentioned that last night in the meeting and I think we could all take care of that as commissioners. We can say no phones in the meeting. To be used for any purpose,” said Postell.

Only the mayor and other commissioners were in the room during the session.

Postell says he is not accusing any particular member but is asking the district attorney or GBI to investigate.
