Maintenance Center Albany won the Excellence in Innovation award at Wednesday's Rise N Shine breakfast
Wednesday morning the Economic Development Commission honored local industries at a rise-n-shine breakfast.
Maintenance Center Albany won the Excellence Innovation award for their mobile trauma bay, a virtual emergency room on the go for marines.
“So it's right behind the war fighter and when they're injured they'll take them right back to it and so much can happen in that first ten minutes, it helps stabilize the marine and helps save lives,” Said Col. Terry Reid, commanding officer of Maintenance Center Albany.
Thrush Aircraft won the Global Commerce award, Equinox won the Economic Impact award and Proctor and Gamble won the Good Life City award.
