Craig Mathis arrested on drug charges
Lee County attorney Craig Mathis has been arrested by Lee County drug agents.
Sheriff Reggie Rachals tells Fox 31 news that Mathis was arrested around four this afternoon. The DEA, GBI, Lee County DA's office and the Lee County Sheriff's Office ended a lengthy investigation today that ended in Mathis' arrest. Mathis is charged with possession of the schedule two controlled substance Adderall with the intent to distribute, and possession of a schedule four controlled substance which was Zanex. Agents also seized Mathis' 1970 Mercedes Benz during the arrest.
He is currently being held in the Lee County Jail.
