Anti-smoking advocates held a rally at the state’s Capitol today to promote the “cigarette tax” which would increase the tax on cigarettes by one dollar.

So far the bill has 60 sponsors in the House, and many think it could fill a substantial part of Georgia’s one billion dollar budget gap.  Tomorrow anti-tax activists will hold a rally at the Capitol against the bill.
