More than 100 hunters are in Albany hunting for quail
Hunters say this weekend is about meeting other hunters and enjoying the outdoors.
“It’s enjoyable to be outside, to be with the dogs, and to meet the people. It’s just, well you can’t sit in an office and get what you get out here” says Tommy Bridges of Flint River Farms.
Hunters spread out across multiple plantations and private farms to hunt quail Friday morning and the hunt will continue all weekend.
Hunters also exchanged helpful suggestions on managing timber, which bushes to plant to protect quail, and how to preserve their hunting grounds.
