Lt. gov. taps Doerr for GA child advocate board

Doerr is the clinical services supervisor for NorthStar Educational and Therapeutic Services

(AP) -- Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle has appointed Allison Doerr to the board of directors for the Office of the Child Advocate. 

Doerr is the clinical services supervisor for NorthStar Educational and Therapeutic Services, which serves Cherokee, Pickens, Gilmer, Fannin, Whitfield and Murray counties and Dalton Public Schools.

She is a former school psychologist for Cobb and Cherokee county school systems and has over 14 years professional psychological experience.  Doerr is a Georgia licensed psychologist, certified school psychologist and board certified behavior analyst.

She holds an undergraduate degree in education and psychology from Douglass College, Rutgers University and earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.  Her two-year term will begin immediately.
