Voters ask for Secretary of State investigation
The state has stepped in after elections in Baconton.
The Secretary of State’s office says they have launched an open investigation into the Baconton city council race after allegations of illegal activity were reported by voters. Baconton voters tell FOX 31 News the allegations stem from realignment of the districts and that some voters were not able to vote in their respective districts Tuesday.
The state office says there is not a timeline on the investigation and wouldn't discuss the details of the case.
