Five local doctors teamed up to give free physicals to Lee and Dougherty County Special Olympics.

The Special Olympics is getting prepared for its winter games this December 4h at Albany State University.  County Coordinator, Karen Beasley hopes the community turns out because the athletes always notice a large crowd.

“"When you have a child who’s in high school or on varsity, everybody wants to see somebody up there in that crowd cheering them on and my athletes are no different,” says Beasley.

The organization will host its sports banquet December 1st also at ASU.
