(AP) -- Atlanta voters will have one more hour to cast their ballots Tuesday night than their counterparts outside the city.

Under Georgia law, polls remain open for municipal general elections until 8 p.m. in cities with more than 300,000 population
and 7 p.m. elsewhere.  That means voters in two legislative races with precincts in Atlanta will have poll closings at different times.

Special elections for legislative seats on Tuesday include House District 58 and Senate District 35, both of which have precincts inside and outside the city limits.

Polls for the Atlanta mayor's and city council races also will close at 8 p.m.
