The Lee County Planning and Engineering Committee hosted an open forum this evening for Leesburg residents to learn more about the North Bypass Leesburg Project.

Lee County officials say they need more community support for the almost $8 million dollar project.

Bob Alexander, Lee County Director of Planning and Engineering says the project will dramatically decrease traffic, and increase safety at the neighboring schools.  "We want to give out as much information on what the project is all about, and how this will improve traffic in the Leesburg area as well as improve the safety" says Alexander.
