Leesburg police with the help of Perverted Justice arrested 31-year-old Mohit Malhotra after a year long investigation stemming from conversations Malhotra had with a "staged" 13-year-old girl.

“Yeah, he contacted the victim several times about showing up at her house and doing this and he when we'd get it set up - he would comeback with an excuse he couldn't come or something like that,” said Chief James Moore.

Police say that may be because Malhotra is married with one child and another on the way.  Malhotra drove over 200 miles to the McDonald's in Leesburg to allegedly meet the 13-year-old girl but what he didn't know was that Leesburg police were ready and waiting.

“He ended up showing up in the exact car he said he'd be driving. He actually walked through the McDonald's looking for the girl and we did have a decoy set up,” said Sergeant James Vick.

Alpharetta police are in the process of collecting computers and cell phones that were used during the investigation.  Malhotra is charged with computer pornography and criminal attempt of child molestation.
