A Dougherty County Grand Jury has indicted the Reverend Joseph Howard on two counts of first degree arson in the December 31, 2007 torching of Trinity Metropolitan Church.

Howard was also indicted on two counts of criminal solicitation and one count of conspiracy to commit arson.  The indictment states that Howard solicited two men to set the fire; Curtis Jones and Vincent Jackson.  Both Jones and Jackson have pleaded guilty for their roles in torching the church.

The church was insured by Church Mutual Insurance Company.
