The Albany Police Department releases the mug shot of a police corporal charged with child molestation.

Police arrested 46-year-old Cpl. Vincent Wadley on Friday, but had been keeping his mug shot “on hold.” Police Chief John Proctor says Wadley is accused of having sexual contact with a female under 16-years-old in May 2008. The victim’s family notified police, and an internal investigation led to Wadley’s arrest. Wadley has worked for APD since August 2004 and works in the investigations division’s theft unit.

Wadley is suspended without pay.
