The Dougherty County Paranormal Investigators recently explored the train depot downtown and they say they spoke with numerous ghosts.

But investigators don’t have conversations with ghosts as if they're talking to regular people. "We go through a regiment of yes or no questions so that they can respond using the dowsing rods" says Kerry Henry, paranormal investigator.

Dowsing rods are copper rods attached to wooden handles the investigators use to read the energy in the room.  They say if a spirit wants to answer yes to a question, they cross the rods.  If the answer is no, the rods remain parallel.

The group also uses digital recorders to pick up audio paranormal investigators can't hear with the naked ear.

Jonathan Luke, a founding member of the Dougherty County Paranormal Investigators says they don't find paranormal activity everywhere they investigate.  "Some locations we have no activity and they are supposed to be haunted.  Other places we expect to get no paranormal activity and we’re getting an abundance" says Luke.

Investigators say they have audio and video proof of the existence of ghosts at the train depot in downtown Albany.

Now I just wonder why a ghost would hang around at an old train depot. Are they waiting on the train to the other side??
