(AP) -- State Rep. Rob Teilhet has picked up the endorsement of one of Georgia's leading black lawmakers in his bid to become the Democratic nominee for attorney general in 2010.

The support comes from state Sen. Emanuel Jones, who chairs the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus. He says Teilhet "will fight for our families and our community."

Teilhet, a Smyrna Democrat, faces former Albany prosecutor Ken Hodges in the July primary.

The victor will likely run against Cobb County Commission Chair Sam Olens in the general election.
