Two teens were shot in unrelated incidents early Sunday morning
Albany Police are investigating three overnight shootings and aggravated assaults that wounded two teens.
19-year-old Jacory Butts was shot outside Brick City on Schilling Ave. around 3 a.m. Sunday. He told police he was leaving when he saw a group of girls fighting outside and security trying to break it up. That's when someone fired shots, and hit Butts in the ankle. Police are still looking for suspects. Butts is in good condition at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital
A 17-year-old was shot in the arm in an unrelated second shooting around 3:45 a.m. Sunday. Police say 17-year-old Michael Lee Jones, Jr. shot his cousin LaSamuel Green after getting into a fight. Green and a friend were walking in the 2100 block of S. Jackson St. when Jones shot at them. Green was treated and released from the hospital, and police are still looking for Jones.
Just after midnight last night a parent told police an unknown black male pointed a gun at his son's head. 12-year-old Braylon Battle spoke with FOX 31 News and says he and his friends were outside at a W. Gordon Ave. apartment complex when someone pointed the gun at him after the man and Battle's friend got in an argument. Battle says the unknown man then pointed a gun at the back of his head, but he didn't actually see it happen. He says his friends told him about it after the man left.
Police are continuing to investigate.
