The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit says they've caught nine men in a reverse prostitution sting.

The nine accused are Ralph B. Jones, Terrence J. Brownlee, Rufus B. Rogers, Leslie L. White, Christopher J. Herring, Ronald N. West II, William A. Acree, Theodore Jones, and Larry M. Thomas.  Drug Unit Commander Maj. Bill Berry says two female undercover drug agents posed as prostitutes last Thursday for four hours on S. Harding St. between W. Oglethorpe Blvd. and W. Highland Ave.  All nine are charged with soliciting which is a misdemeanor.

Berry says the men accused of soliciting prostitutes are from a variety of backgrounds, and he says when they found out they'd been caught, came up with a variety of excuses.

"Everything from they were looking for somebody, asking directions, but probably the most common one we hear is they were trying to give this young lady a ride home," Berry said.
