Police are looking for two men they say robbed an Albany liquor store at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

Police say two men robbed Tate Liquors on Sylvester Road just before 2:30 p.m.  They got away with an unknown amount of money from the cashier.  Police say no one else was in the store at the time and no one was hurt.  Albany Police Spokesperson Phyllis Banks-Whitley says they are working to see if this incident is connected to a March 21st armed robbery at the Speego Gas Store.

“There are some similarities like the way they did come into the store separately.  That will be one avenue that they look into whether these two robberies are connected,” said Banks-Whitley.

Police say the first man is a tall black male last seen wearing baby blue shorts and a white tank top.  The second is described as a 5’11” black male wearing black clothes, bandana and sunglasses.  Police believe the two fled in a black Expedition.  Call Crime Stoppers at 436-TIPS with any information.
