Gas prices across Georgia continue to climb

Gasoline prices in Georgia are on an upward trend, imagine that

The average statewide price of gasoline increased about 19 cents in the past 30 days, according to a survey compiled
by AAA Georgia.

The auto club said Monday's statewide average for a gallon of regular is $1.74.  The national average is $1.84.  AAA said midgrade was $1.87 and premium cost $1.95 a gallon.  Columbus had the highest metro average for regular at $1.76.

Augusta recorded the cheapest average at $1.63 a gallon.
