The Lee County Board of Commissioners dealt with many concerned citizens Tuesday night on two separate issues.

Local commercial builders and business owners say the impact fees in the county are getting ridiculous.  Commissioners voted on a proposed policy change that they say is the first step in correcting the problem.  Also, many homeowners off Cookville Road say their water wells have been contaminated for the last six weeks.  Residents say they haven't been able to bathe, cook or clean with the water because some of it is contaminated with bacteria.  Commissioners noted the severity of the issue and say they're getting right on it.

Commissioners also voted to give Lee County employees the Friday after Christmas off as a holiday.
