Excellent opening day for the Agriculture Exposition
Farmers from all over the south came to Moultrie for the start of the Sunbelt Agriculture Exposition.
Executive Director Chip Blaylock says they expect thousands to come for the three-day event. He says the expo will bring in about $17 million for the local economy. The Expo named Brian Kirksey of Arkansas the “Southeast Farmer of the Year.” Governor Sonny Perdue and Senator Saxby Chambliss were there to congratulate him. Both politicians spoke to the crowd about the importance of the agriculture industry.
The latest farming equipment, technologies, and techniques are on display until Thursday. Admission is $7 and parking is free.
