ATLANTA, GA -- Georgia Governor Nathan Deal has named two new floor leaders for the Georgia Senate.

Senators Rick Jeffares of Locust Grove and Charlie Bethel of Dalton will join Bill Jackson of Appling to serve as the liaisons between the Deal and state Senate upon their January 14th return.

Jeffares serves as vice chairman to the State and Local Governmental Operations Committee and is a member of the Government Oversight; Natural Resources and the Environment; Regulated Industries and Utilities; and Veteran, Military and Homeland Security committees.

Bethel serves on the Judiciary; Special Judiciary; Insurance and Labor; Retirement; and Reapportionment and Redistricting committees.
