Around 20 members of the U.S. Army National Guard turned out to the Palmyra Nursing Home to pay tribute to 13 of the nursing home’s veterans.

Staff Sgt. Marcus Walker presented to the veterans a special plaque.

“It basically names every solider that preceded us that the veterans that’s in this nursing home.  We also had seals on there representing each branch that contributes to the safety of the United States,” said Sgt. Walker.

After the plaque presentation, members of the National Guard personally thanked the veterans and their families.
