The Albany chapters of Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma donated nearly 300 school uniforms to a pair of schools.  Turner and Alice Coachman Elementaries will be the recipients of the donations.  Both organizations were more than happy to help the community.

Sinay Alexander of Zeta Phi Beta says the donations help the parents as well.

“If they spill something on their uniform or if they forget and wear the wrong shirt that particular day instead of the parents getting off their jobs, the principals will be able to go and get the uniforms and let the students wear them,” said Alexander.

Art Brown of Phi Beta Sigma enjoyed helping out.

“This is the first time we’ve teamed up with the Zeta’s to do such magnificent work, so we’re delighted to be a part of that particular effort,” said Brown.
