LEESBURG,GA. -- The traffic accident that claimed the life of a Lee County high school student has deeply affected the Lee County High School family. 

16 year old Cole Lentz died in the two car crash on Forrester Pkwy. Two of his friends were injured in the accident and remained hospitalized at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.  15 year old Trea Smith is listed in critical condition and 16 year old Garret Hart is listed in fair condition.

Lee County High School principal Kevin Dowling says several times a week he goes on the intercom right before school lets out to urge students to “ Be safe on the roads, don’t forget to wear your seatbelts.”
