GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (AP) - Lots of people complain about their tax assessment -- including one county tax assessor. Harvey Levinson wants the Nassau County, New York, Assessment Review Commission to knock more than $200,000 off the half-million dollar value of his two-bedroom Long Island condo. He's the chairman of the County Board of Assessors. Levinson says a clerical goof added 75-percent to his assessment. If approved, the change would knock about $1,300 off of his property tax bill. Review commission officials say the assessor will be treated like any other taxpayer.
