While the Cordele location with be the 13th Chick-Fil-A, the Albany Mall location was one of the earliest locations in Southwest Georgia.

CORDELE, GA --
Southwest Georgians can eat more chicken now that the Chick-fil-A of Cordele is open for business.
The restaurant opened Thursday morning following the Chick-fil-A tradition of the First 100 celebration where customers camped out for a year of free food.
Not only does Chick-fil-A of Cordele bring chicken, it brings about 80 jobs to the area.
"We've got employees from six different high schools, five different colleges so we are thrilled about that and the impact it's going to have on the community," said MeriBeth McNeill, Chick-fil-A of Cordele Operator.
"Team members that we hire often times, they've never had a job before so we'll teach them how to come to work on time, wear their name badge, smile when you don't feel like smiling," said Dan Cathy, president and COO of Chick-fil-A.
This is the 13th Chick-fil-A location in the area. Another is expected to open in Leesburg May 2013.
