ALBANY, GA -- The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission voted to increase it's ranks Wednesday morning.

The EDC voted to increase the amount of members representing Dougherty County, the City of Albany, and the Chamber of Commerce to four each, up from the three each.

"We needed to broaden the base with the EDC to get more participation. There's a lot of talented people out in the community that could contribute to economic development, and they need to have a seat at the board table," said EDC president, Ted Clem.

This change is set to go into effect at the start of 2013.
