ALBANY, GA -- A ribbon cutting for the new Carroll's Sausage and Country Store in Turner County off I-75 Tuesday morning.

Owner Hugh Hardy celebrated the opening with United States House of Representatives congressman Austin Scott and Georgia Representative Tony McBrer.

The new location features 60 types of fresh beef, pork, and other items including their signature items such bacon wrapped stuffed pork chops and varieties of fresh ground sausage.

Future plans for the space will include a test kitchen studio for cook offs and a sausage festival in the spring and a gift shop to attract tourists to promote Georgia grown meat and produce goods.
