NORTH CANTON, Ohio (AP) — Fannie May Confections Brands Inc. says it is voluntarily recalling 43,000 candy bars because the ingredient statement is not labeled to indicate that they contain almond nuts, to which some people are allergic.

The North Canton, Ohio-based company said Tuesday that the recall involves select two-ounce Fannie May Milk Chocolate & Almonds candy bars.

The company says the product packaging does include the word "almonds" on the main panel and in an allergen statement saying the candy was manufactured on equipment shared with peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans, milk, eggs and wheat.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported.

The candy bars were sold between Aug. 21 and Aug. 31. The UPC code is 5274571484.
