Mother Nature’s assault on Southwest Georgia began around one o’clock Tuesday morning. Rain and hail pelted streets, homes, and cars, while high winds walloped trees and road signs.

The train of wind did some damage to Groover road. A trampoline was launched into a pond at one house. At the nearby Lee County High School Ninth Grade Campus a metal canopy was ripped to the ground.
