Royce Dillard, Jr. is now charged with seven counts of forgery for cashing Social Security checks written to 74-year-old Christine Welch. Police say Dillard and Tasha Chambers lived with Welch and abused her.

74-year-old Christine Welch will live at a nursing home in Valdosta. Moultrie police found Welch malnourished to 80 pounds with bedsores infested with maggots and gangrene in both feet on April 15.

74-year-old Christine Welch lost one leg just above the knee and one just below the knee. Police say the injuries are a result of alleged abuse from 34-year-old Tasha Chambers and 55-year-old Royce Dillard, Jr.
