United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia Michael Moore has announced via press release that 34-year-old Lowndes County resident Devasko Dewayne Lewis has indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on May 16th.

Attorney General Sam Olens announced Wednesday via press release that an 18 month prosecution of an extensive tobacco trafficking ring spanning several counties has concluded with the prosecution resulting in the collection of more than $1.3 million in unpaid tobacco taxes and the sentencing of 49 defendants.
