A new National Park Service (NPS) report for 2011 shows that the 108,812 visitors to Andersonville National Historic Site spent $4,032,000 in communities surrounding the park. This spending supported 61 jobs in the local area.

The American Ex-Prisoners of War Organization is in Albany for their annual convention. The group headed to Andersonville Thursday morning for a memorial service for what turned out to be an emotional day of sharing between AMEX POW’s at Andersonville National Historic Site.
